Railay Thai Cooking School may be new, but its story began long before our doors opened. Founded by Chef Chauy, a local Thai native with decades of experience in Thailand’s top resorts, the school was born from a love of Thai cuisine passed down from her grandmother. What started in a warm southern Thai kitchen is now being shared with travelers from around the world. Chef’’s dream is simple: to make Thai cooking approachable, meaningful, and unforgettable — and every class brings that dream to life.

Such a great experience! The cook and his assistant were so nice and explained everything calmly and with humor. The food tasted excellent and had great texture. Very nice to cook every meal separately and eat it before we moved on to the next. We chopped everything for all meals the first thing we did so the class had a nice flow.

Chef was amazing and guided me step by step. Explained every process and the secret ways of cooking delicious authentic Thai food! He was very patient explaining the ingredients and things to be done!! All food turned to be super great! Had a feast!

He had the head chef and his assistant open us throughout the process, they were very helpful and made the cooking experience enjoyable and informative.

My husband and 14-year old really enjoyed this unique and authentic experience. The kitchen was clean and organized and the ingredients were fresh. We had a variety of dishes to choose from so we each got to sample each other’s dishes. Be prepared- it is a lot of food but so worth it! The school location is also very serene and the scenery just adds to the experience. The Chef was very knowledgeable and thorough in his explanations. I liked that it wasn’t rushed it made the experience more personable. Highly recommend.
